Need ideas for your event?
Here is my current list of topics. Most are 45-60 minutes long, but can be shaved down to fit your requirements. Don’t see what you are looking for? I’m open to collaboration as we follow God’s leading to reach the women in your ministry, together!
Who Am I: Surviving Our Shifting Identity in Motherhood – There are so many changes that we undergo when we enter motherhood, and all those changes have a huge impact on our sense of self. Marie unpacks all the ways we experience shifts in our identity as mothers, and how we can stop asking ourselves “Who Am I?” but rather stand firm knowing Who I Am.
Painful People: Navigating Difficult Family Relationships – Family can be wonderful, but it can also be hard. Many of us have to navigate a variety of complicated, painful family dynamics. Marie lays out super practical steps for navigating difficult family relationships, so your next family gathering will be less grueling and more grace-filled.
Learning to Breathe: The Weary Woman’s Guide to Cultivating Rest – We live in a do-it-all, have-it-all, be-it-all world that tells us to do & have & be until we drop. We are constantly inundated with external pressures and continually battling internal turmoil. With all this hammering away at us on a daily basis, how are we ever going to find rest? Marie digs into our struggles to find rest in the midst of our busy lives and unpacks practical steps to finally finding REAL rest in the knowledge & presence of God.
Overcome the Overwhelm – Being a mom is overwhelming. We juggle so much daily, always trying to find a balance (if only we knew what that actually LOOKED like). It’s hard not to always feel like a failure, like you’re always falling behind, like you barely get the urgent things done and never with excellence and NEVER leaving time for important things like spending time with Jesus or, you know, investing in yourself! Marie shares her own struggles with overwhelm and some practical tools for overcoming the cycle together!
The Art of Seeking and Accepting Help from Others – For many women, seeking and accepting help is a huge struggle. They feel guilty, embarrassed, or unworthy of asking for help when they need it. But God has called us to love “one another.” A reciprocal call. To both give and receive help. Let’s delve into God’s truth and find greater connection as a community of believers that both accepts and doles out help in turn.
Pulling the Veil on Depression – Approximately 14.8 million American adults battle depression. I am one of them. Though I’m silly, sarcastic, jovial and optimistic, I have been battling depression for a decade. I share my personal depression story, God’s truth in the midst of depression, and how one might support a loved one who is in the midst of their own battle.
Why Your Body Image Matters – Most of us live with a general, low-level dissatisfaction with our looks. We have a simmering discontent that remains in the back of our minds, that we think about throughout the day, that impacts how we feel about ourself and others and, ultimately, how we relate to God. Let’s discuss how to find freedom from the constant preoccupation with our looks, and live in gratitude and acceptance for the body God has given us.
